Looking for a new fish recipe? This oven roasted salmon fits the bill! It is caramelized on the outside and flaky and tender on the inside. The sweet and spicy sauce is finger-licking good!

Ingredients:

Salmon
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp siracha (or more to taste)
1 tsp sesame oil
onion, garlic and mustard powder to taste

image

Directions:

Combine all ingredients (except salmon) in a bowl large enough to fit the salmon into
image

Place Salmon skin side up into the bowl and spoon sauce over salmon to ensure it is evenly coated
image
Allow salmon to marinate for at least 15 minutes to absorb marinade
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Place salmon on a well-oiled baking sheet skin side down and spoon some of the marinade over top to coat
image
Allow salmon to bake in oven for about 8-12 minutes until almost cooked through
Broil salmon for 1-2 minutes to allow the sugars to crystallize and get that nice crispy crust
Serve immediately

I have never tried salmon but, my husband was just saying last week he wanted me to try to bake some in the oven. He loves when I make baked bass, mullet or other white meat fish, so I’m excited to try it. Thanks for sharing this recipe as it is perfect timing! Will be trying it this weekend! 🙂

This looks delicious. I’ve made salmon before without the broil I’d like to see how it comes out. Looks delicious!
